Individuals may register via the P.R.I.D.E. website. \nAbout the Film\nProduced by Debbie LeeKeenan and John Nimmo\, this powerful documentary  features vignettes of anti-bias strategies in early childhood classrooms interspersed with teachers reflecting on their practice.  By taking viewers into diverse early childhood classrooms\, and focusing on the voices of teachers\, the film seeks to demonstrate the importance of teacher reflection on identity\, context\, and practice in anti-bias education and provides a much-needed resource for teacher education and professional development. \nAbout P.R.I.D.E\nP.R.I.D.E. is a program within the Office of Child Development at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education. Our goals are to help young African American children develop a positive racial identity\, support teachers and parents by building their racial knowledge\, and raise awareness of the impact of race on young children. We provide them with various learning opportunities\, including educator trainings\, Parent Village sessions for Black children and their families\, Speaker Series events to educate the community and art festivals created to immerse young Black children in a space designed to celebrate them.

Join Brazelton Touchpoints Center for an upcoming workshop to explore the “Development is a Journey Conversation Roadmap” framework. Registration is available online. \nMore Information\nThe Brazelton Touchpoints Center has developed a new tool to help family-facing providers have collaborative and productive conversations with families about developmental screening results. The Development is a Journey Conversation Roadmap facilitates these conversations with seven simple steps to enhance the provider-parent partnership and engage parents and other caregivers in planning for their child’s developmental needs. \nThis 3-hour\, interactive workshop introduces participants to the Roadmap and its focus on honoring families’ knowledge of their child. Participants will explore why providers and families sometimes have differences of opinion about children and screenings. SUMMARY:Community of Practice: Creating a CQI Plan
DESCRIPTION:Want to learn how to create a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plan? Join ELRC Region 5 on October 21 at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for their virtual Community of Practice (CoP) sessions! \nAbout\nIn the October CoP virtual sessions\, participants will learn about the CQI Plan\, its importance to growth and quality\, and how it relates to the Keystone STARS standards. Participants will learn how to utilize their POI self-assessments and other resources to help create their CQI plan\, and they will have the opportunity to complete CQI goals with their peers in the class using the Keystone STARS CQI Template. \nEarly Learning Resource Center (ELRC) Region 5 offers Communities of Practice (COP) for early learning professionals to discuss topics of interest\, current trends in the field\, and offer insight and inspiration to one another.
