SUMMARY:Pediatric CPR and First Aid Training
DESCRIPTION:ASHI Pediatric CPR\, AED\, and First Aid an ideal training solution for schools\, child care providers\, youth sports coaches\, and others required to learn how to respond to medical emergencies involving children. This versatile program is based upon the 2010 CPR and First Aid Guidelines\, Caring for Our Children\, 3rd Ed\, and other evidence-based treatment recommendations.  This is a hands-on scenario-based course. The course will include a mix of video\, PowerPoint\, and lecture paired with hands-on practice sessions. Participants will be presented with situations that they will need to practice and treat which will include review and group critique. This is a hands-on class and participants will be practicing some of the skills on their fellow classmates. \nELRC Region 5 will offer trainings with approved PQAS Instructors and OCDEL-recognized curriculums at no cost to educators who meet the following requirements: \n\n\nCurrently working in a DHS Regulated Child Care setting in Allegheny County. \n\n\nHave a valid CPR/First Aid Certificate from a training that was not conducted by a PQAS certified instructor and/or the curriculum used was not OCDEL approved. \n\n\nAre not considered new hires. \n\n\nSession Details\n\n\nSession Date: Tuesday\, May 31\, 2022 at 6:00pm \n\n\nInstructor: Chimeria Terrell \n\n\nMaximum Class Capacity: 15 \n\n\nRegister Today\nSpace is limited.
