DESCRIPTION:Join the Homewood Early Learning Hub & Family Center in partnership with the YMCA for a presentation of the Kamin Science Center’s new Mobile Planetarium.\n\nDelight in the magic of the night sky with Kamin Science Center. Take a journey through the stars in an inflatable\, immersive planetarium experience. Get hands-on with a constellation craft and bring the magic home with you. There will be several shows between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.\n\nAlso\, enjoy additional activities between planetarium shows\, including food and games.\n\nThe event takes place at the YMCA Homewood Brushton Branch\, located at 7140 Bennett Street\, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday\, May 15.\n\nRegistration is available online.

DESCRIPTION:The second annual 3 Crafty Kids Summer Art Show will be held at Bella’s Wishes in Ambridge from June 17 to 27. \nLearn More\nThe show features original paintings\, pottery\, fused glass\, photography\, stickers\, fairy wands\, 3D prints\, magnets\, shirts\, bags\, and other original artwork created by local children. \nVisitors are encouraged to help the children give back to the community by donating cat food\, kitten litter\, or cat toys for a local cat rescue during the show. \nThe show’s Artist Meet & Greet on Wednesday\, June 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be available.

SUMMARY:Strike the Ember: Forging the Bridge of Maternal Health & Equity
DESCRIPTION:This event\, which will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday\, October 2\, is focused on maternal equity for the BIPOC\, Latina\, and underserved communities. \nThe Maya Organization event will include cocktails\, charcuterie\, and a raffle. Attendees will include business owners\, community leaders\, healthcare workers\, and advocates. \nThe Maya Organization helps mothers through pregnancy\, birth\, and the months that follow\, offering bilingual support and wraparound care to families and mothers who need it most. It also trains doulas and birth workers and partners with the University of Pittsburgh on intimate partner violence research. \nFor $40\, participants will hors d’oeuvres\, cocktails\, a great view of the city skyline with a selfie station\, networking\, and a chance to take home fine art jewelry\, original watercolor paintings\, a custom tattoo\, climbing passes\, dinner-out gift cards\, and a special grand prize through the event’s raffle. \nA $60 VIP ticket provides two drink tickets\, a raffle entry\, and early access to the rooftop selfie station. \nThe event will be held at The Pittsburgh Foundation\, located at 912 Ft.
