SUMMARY:78th Annual Butler Farm Show
DESCRIPTION:Attendees at the Butler Farm Show will be able to see hundreds of farm animals\, take part in nightly entertainment\, and see variety acts such as jugglers\, clowns\, magicians\, and midway rides by Bartlebaugh Amusements. \nThe farm show will also have nightly grandstand events such as truck and tractor pulls\, demo derby\, and figure 8 races. Visitors can purchase farm products\, arts and crafts\, baked goods\, and quilts that are judged and placed on display for everyone to see. \nThe show will also feature more than 200 commercial exhibits such as home improvements\, automobiles\, lawn\, garden\, and farm equipment. \nDaily admission is $10\, which includes rides and grandstand (except Thursday and Friday\, where wristbands are $5). Gates open at 8:30 a.m. \nThe farm show will run from Monday\, August 10 to Saturday\, August 15.

DESCRIPTION:The Homewood Early Learning Hub & Family Center will host a back-to-school open house on Friday\, August 21 that will include fun activities\, resources\, and community support. \nLearn More\nActivities\, tabling\, and school supply giveaways will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. \nAt 3 p.m.\, Community Alliance Program students from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine will host a discussion on postpartum care. The event will include free blood pressure screenings and giveaways. \nLight snacks will be provided during the afternoon and evening sessions. DESCRIPTION:This event\, which will run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday\, October 2\, is focused on maternal equity for the BIPOC\, Latina\, and underserved communities. \nThe Maya Organization event will include cocktails\, charcuterie\, and a raffle. Attendees will include business owners\, community leaders\, healthcare workers\, and advocates. \nThe Maya Organization helps mothers through pregnancy\, birth\, and the months that follow\, offering bilingual support and wraparound care to families and mothers who need it most. It also trains doulas and birth workers and partners with the University of Pittsburgh on intimate partner violence research. \nFor $40\, participants will hors d’oeuvres\, cocktails\, a great view of the city skyline with a selfie station\, networking\, and a chance to take home fine art jewelry\, original watercolor paintings\, a custom tattoo\, climbing passes\, dinner-out gift cards\, and a special grand prize through the event’s raffle. \nA $60 VIP ticket provides two drink tickets\, a raffle entry\, and early access to the rooftop selfie station. \nThe event will be held at The Pittsburgh Foundation\, located at 912 Ft.
