SUMMARY:STARS 101 & 102
DESCRIPTION:STARS 101 & 102 is a web-based course that meets the requirement for STAR 2 SQ.2.1 Part 1 and Part 2. It is an introduction to the idea of Continuous Quality Improvement which is the basic premise for the Keystone STARS Quality Rating System. In addition to the philosophy of CQI\, the process of change and how to begin your journey through the Keystone STARS system will be discussed. \nAbout\nThe following elements of assessing and building quality will be covered: Pennsylvania Core Knowledge Competencies and Big Ideas Framework\, Continuous Quality Improvement\, PA Early Learning Standards\, and Caring for Our Children Basics (CFOCB) as a resource and supporting interactions with children and families. \nThis is a live\, interactive webinar. PQAS hours offered. Participants are expected to fully participate; this is not a log-in and leave event. Arriving 15 minutes late may result in no credit for the session. SUMMARY:Strategies for eLearning Days in the Wake of COVID-19
DESCRIPTION:With many schools and learning centers closing for a period of time due to coronavirus (COVID-19)\, educators are utilizing technology to offer learning opportunities to students at home. Join the State Education Technology Directors Association (SETDA) on March 17 for their webinar to learn more about implementing “eLearning Days.” \nAbout\nIn this webinar\, presenters will provide essential resources for state\, district\, and school administrators and teachers as they prepare for eLearning Days in the wake of school closings related to the COVID-19 virus. Launched by SETDA with the support of AT&T\, the SETDA Coalition for eLearning will compile and provide resources on eLearning for state education agencies and school districts at no cost. \nThe Coalition will also support leaders and spark innovation around eLearning related to the COVID-19 virus\, as well as inevitable inclement weather and other disruptive events. A school-based experience in eLearning Days will provide first-hand experience of planning and implementing eLearning Days. \nThis webinar is suitable for kindergarten through high school teachers\, librarians\, and school and district leaders.
