Join Us: 2020 Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community

On May 9, Highmark will be hosting its annual Walk for a Healthy Community in Pittsburgh. Would you consider joining Trying Together’s team?

The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual fundraising walk that benefits local health and human service organizations. The primary goal of the walk is to reinforce the work of participating organizations by providing a platform to raise awareness and funds while promoting health in the community. In 2019 alone, the Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community raised 1.4 million dollars for 209 participating organizations.

Trying Together is excited to announce our participation in this year’s event in Pittsburgh, taking place on May 9 at Heinz Field. The walk will begin promptly at 9 a.m., include both 5K and 1-mile routes that participants can choose from, and be accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. The event will also feature food, entertainment, prizes, information booths, and fun activities for children.

All registered walkers who raise or donate $30 or more will receive a Walk for a Healthy Community t-shirt while supplies last. For every $50 you donate to participating organizations, you will receive one chance for raffle prizes valued at more than $1,000.

One hundred percent of the donations received during this event will go directly back to the participating organizations and will be accepted until June 30, 2020. Donations may be submitted online or in-person during the event. All in-person donations should be given and made payable to your selected organization. Will you help Trying Together reach its fundraising goal?

If you’re interested in submitting a check or cash donation, please complete a Walker Donation Form. All forms and donations must be submitted at Trying Together’s registration table on May 9, 2020 or mailed to:
