Trying Together and Westmoreland County Community College are hosting an advocacy event! Students, administrators, and community members are invited to the premiere screening of “Make a Circle,” a heartfelt documentary honoring early educators. The film follows child care providers as they work to change societal views of early childhood education. It highlights educators’ classroom magic, their personal challenges, and their strong advocacy, including thousands of child care educators marching to the state capitol to demand better conditions. This compelling portrait of early childhood educators offers a hopeful blueprint for strengthening and improving our child care system.
Following the 60-minute screening, attendees will participate in a brief Q&A with local early care and education experts. The event will conclude with time for students, educators, and community members to connect across sectors, reflect on the film, and discuss their shared commitment to elevating the field of early care and education across our region.
