The Child Mind Institute’s latest series of resources focuses on how to prevent the summer slide and encourage children to read for fun during their break.
One of the options explored in the resources are reading a chapter book to a child to share a story they are not yet ready to tackle themselves.
The institute has provided a list of nearly 100 children’s books about mental health as well as a piece on strategies to help children with learning disorders or ADHD with reading.
