Allegheny Partners for Out-of-School Time (APOST) is inviting afterschool advocates to travel with the group to Harrisburg for the annual Advocacy Day on June 5. The day is meant to draw attention to the importance of afterschool funding.
APOST will travel to Harrisburg to highlight to legislators the importance of out-of-school time in Pennsylvania. Parents, program providers, youths, educators, faith-based leaders, and community and business leaders from across the state will take part in the event.
Coach bus transportation to and from Harrisburg will be provided by APOST. Buses will depart from the Eat ‘n Park at the Waterfront, located at 245 E. Waterfront Drive in Homestead, at 6 a.m. sharp. The approximate trip time, including travel, will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Attendees should arrive by 5:30 a.m. to allow for time to check in and board the bus.
Morning snacks, drinks, and lunch will be provided for all participants. When filling out the registration form, indicate how many students you are bringing.
