On November 30, 2021, Pittsburgh City Council passed a Lead Safety Law to protect the public from the dangers of lead-based hazards. Child-occupied facilities (including active child care programs, pre-schools, or kindergarten classrooms) located in Pre-1978 buildings are required to register with the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI) by December 31, 2022.
PLI will be offering two virtual trainings via Zoom on October 25 to assist child- occupied facilities with the OneStopPGH registration process.
