The Homewood Early Learning Hub & Family Center will host a back-to-school open house on Friday, August 21 that will include fun activities, resources, and community support.

Activities, tabling, and school supply giveaways will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

At 3 p.m., Community Alliance Program students from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Medicine will host a discussion on postpartum care. The event will include free blood pressure screenings and giveaways.

Light snacks will be provided during the afternoon and evening sessions. While supplies last, the following will be available:

• School supplies
• Children’s activities
• Information from local pre-k or school providers about enrollment and the importance of early childhood education

The open house will take place at the Homewood Early Learning Hub & Family Center, located at 7219 Kelly Street.
