The Role of Media and Technology in Early Childhood Development

Wednesday, 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Free

Want to learn how media and technology influence young children’s development? Join Common Sense Media on February 10 for their virtual conversation, “The Role of Media and Technology in Early Childhood Development.”

About

Since the coronavirus pandemic began, questions have arisen about the outsized impact of the time kids are spending with media and technology. Join Common Sense Media for a rich virtual conversation with leaders in early childhood education as they discuss the benefits and challenges of media and technology in the development of our youngest learners, and how educators can better support children and parents in the classroom and at home.

Presenters will explore the latest research from Common Sense, including The Common Sense Census: Media Use by Kids Age Zero to Eight, 2020 and its sister report, YouTube and Kids: How Ads, Toys, and Games Dominate Viewing, as well as Children, Executive Functioning, and Digital Media: A Review, 2020.
