Pittsburgh’s 2nd Annual International Day Parade & Festival has been announced for Saturday, June 8. The event, which is coordinated by the city’s Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, will celebrate and honor the heritage of the nationalities who have planted their roots in the city.
This year’s festival will include a parade, food, music, performances, and exhibitions. The festival will run from noon to 8 p.m. Information on the festival’s location and parade route were not immediately available.
Registration is now open for groups that want to participate in this year’s parade. Applicants are asked to register as a nationality and not a particular organization to be able to participate. Submission forms must be completed by Friday, May 10. Any submissions after this date will be accepted on a case-by-case basis.
