The Homewood Early Learning Hub & Family Center will host a day of building sculptures and art from recycled materials in May.
Using recycled materials from everyday and recognizable objects, children will work to engineer and create whatever their imaginations desire. This can include everything from sculptures and works of art to building structures inspired by the world around them and nature.
The activity helps children to think outside of the box, develop engineering skills, and push the limits on what seemingly simple materials can become.
Recycled Sculptures will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. The Homewood Early Learning Hub & Family Center is located at 7219 Kelly St. in Pittsburgh.
Registration for the free event is now open.
