Want to hear partnership practices fellow early learning/child care programs use to build relationships with local school districts to support transitions to public school? Join ELRC Region 5 on August 19 for a Community of Practice discussion. This event is intended for learning providers in Allegheny County.

Strengthening Relationships with School Districts

ELRC Region 5 Quality Coaches will host two discussions for early learning programs and child care owners, directors, and teaching staff in Allegheny County around strengthening relationships with their local school districts. Early Childhood and School-Age Professionals will:

• • reflect on their current practices in partnering with their local school district to support children and families with kindergarten transition into public school and foster continuity of care between their early learning program/before and after school program and public school,
• • explore various strategies in developing and maintaining their partnerships with their local school professionals to better serve the families and children in their care, and
• • create a plan to build linkages and begin implementing this practice into their program.

1.5 PQAS credit hours available.

STEP 1: Register

To register, complete one of the online registration forms below by August 18 at 11:55 p.m. Please have your PD Registry Number available (if any).

STEP 2: Request Credit

To receive one hour of PQAS credit, you must also complete a PD Registry Credit Request Form.
