For several months, food stamps recipients have been experiencing increased financial strain due to the rapid rise in food and grocery prices. Beginning October 1, Pennsylvania increased the income threshold for all applicants to 200% of the Federal Poverty Income. Households can expect an average of 12.5% increase in their benefits.
