Applicants, please note the following summary of offenses that prohibits employment in child care:

  • Conviction of the following crimes: criminal homicide, aggravated assault, stalking, kidnapping, unlawful restraint, rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, indecent exposure, incest, concealing death of a child, endangering welfare of children, dealing in infant children, a felony related to prostitution and related offenses (section 5902b), obscene and other sexual materials and performances (section 5903c or d), corruption of minors, sexual abuse of children,
    OR any attempt/solicitation/conspiracy to commit any of these offenses,
    OR an equivalent crime under Federal law or the law of another state
  • A felony offense under the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic act within the last 5 years
  • A felony offense relating to strangulation
  • A felony offense relating to arson and related offenses
  • Any offense relating to interstate domestic violence or interstate violation of protection order
  • Any appearance on the National Sex Offender Registry or a state’s sex offender registry
  • Any perpetrator of child abuse
