ECE professionals: Need help planning your professional development? Join Trying Together on Wednesday, June 23 for “Connections and Conversations: Needs Assessments for PD Planning.” PQAS credit is available.

Needs Assessments for PD Planning

Topic: Using Keystone STARS resources, educators will be guided through conversations to assess needs for professional development planning.

Connections and Conversations Virtual Check-Ins are interactive sessions that highlight topics of interest to the field of early childhood education. Participants will engage in virtual discussions via Zoom with child development experts while interacting with early learning practitioners to share questions, experiences, and expertise about being an effective planner for Professional Development for you and your staff.

    • Instructor: Judy Graca and Kathy Wolfe
    • Core Knowledge Competencies (CKC): K 8 13.C2 – Choose professional development opportunities that support individual and program needs checking regularly for professional development updates on the online professional development calendar.

Learning Objectives

Through active participation and successful completion, students will be able to:

    • prioritize professional development needs, and
    • apply Keystone STARS resources/tools to construct a professional development plan for ECE program staff.
