Teaching children social and emotional skills during the early childhood years is critical for later success in school and in life. In this course, participants will learn preventative strategies to address “challenging” behaviors. The course emphasizes that all behavior is a form of communication and encourages approaches that preserve the relationship between caregiver and child, promoting social and emotional well-being. Practical interaction techniques will be shared that can be implemented immediately upon the participants return to the classroom.
