Women for a Healthy Environment will host an upcoming professional development session that will focus on radon.
Attendees will be able to learn more about radon during the course, which is titled Radon: A Major Indoor Air Quality Risk for Childcare Facilities in PA. PQAS and Act 48 credits will be available.
The course will focus on how radon – a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas – can have serious impacts on children and staff in child care. The presenter will be a radon scientist and physicist. Topics will include where radon occurs, how it affects health, why it is important to test for it, and how it can be managed to eliminate harm.
