Reading Through the Summer Slide

Tuesday, 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm Free

Are you interested in learning how to engage mono and multilingual families through literacy? Join the “Reading Through the Summer Slide – Engaging Families Through Literacy” webinar to explore reading activities, hear from educators in the field, and more.

Help Students Manage Their Emotions

By attending, educators will:

    • explore a variety of reading activities for mono and multilingual families;
    • explore ways for encouraging play that ties back into the text;
    • learn about strategies and tools for effectively communicating with families;
    • hear solutions for reaching families in person and digitally from practicing educators at the classroom and district level; and
    • explore resources for placing books in homes, including giving every attendee access to Worldreader’s digital library and summer family book collection.

This webinar is best suited for pre-k through elementary school teachers, librarians, school and district leaders, ELL educators, migrant family coordinators, and Title 1 coordinators. Time for questions will be available.
