The White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans (WHIEEAA) is hosting a virtual roundtable titled “#BlackMenTeach: Amplifying the Recruitment and Retention of Black Male Teachers” on Thursday, May 6.

This event is a part of the African American Education (AfAmEd) Connector Roundtable Series, which seeks to:

    • address gaps and opportunities for African American students and families, and
    • highlight programs, policies, and practices that accelerate the learning and development of Black students of all ages.

This discussion will provide participants with information, resources, and best and promising practices from the Department of Education, other federal agencies, and the field.
