The Special Needs Consortium will hold its 2026 SNC Disability Summit on Thursday, October 8 in Wexford.

The event, From Birth Through Adulthood: Championing Persons with Disabilities, will feature Kelly Frey as the keynote speaker. Frey will offer encouragement to families, caregivers, educators, and providers while sharing her story of loving and caring for her son, Bennett.
Chriss Gaus and Amy Bioni will also speak about the topic “Transitions Through the Lifespan.”
The event will feature breakout sessions on three tracks:
- Early childhood and school age
- Secondary transition
- Adults
Topics during the sessions include behavior supports, executive functioning, inclusive higher education, pathways to employment, planning for the future, special education law, supported decision making, the True Friendship Project, and understanding benefits for adults with disabilities.
The event is expected to draw families, caregivers, educators, and providers. Tickets are $59 and include breakfast and lunch as well as a large vendor fair. It will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at North Way Christian Community in Wexford. Tickets can be purchased online.
