Wired Kids: How Technology Impacts Early Child Development

Monday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Register Now for the Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) of Westmoreland County’s Early Learning Conference.

Technology is a major factor in the development of today’s youngest generation. Presented by Cari Ebert, M.S., CCC-SLP, this one-day seminar examines the evidence to guide therapists, educators, and other early childhood professionals as we live and work in the “digital age”.

Although technology is available at our fingertips, this does not necessarily mean we should be using it with very young children. Infants, toddlers and preschool age children do not learn the same way as older children and adults learn. This seminar aims to consider what is appropriate for the developing brain and body. Professionals will gain powerful evidence-based information regarding best practices for technology use in therapy and in the early childhood classroom.
