Child Tax and Child and Dependent Care Credits

Join the National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement (NCPFCE) on August 26 to hear from a panel of experts about the American Rescue Plan’s (ARP) montly child allowance and other tax credits available to families. The ARP created a monthly child allowance to replace the current Child Tax Credit. Qualified families began receiving montly payments of $300 per child under age six and $250 per child ages six to 17 in July.

This session will be most benefical to Head Start and Early Head Start directors, managers, staff, and parent leaders; other early childhood professionals and leaders; and TTA providers.

Session Topics

This chatathon will include:

    • an overview of the Child Tax and Child and Dependent Care Credits, who is eligible, and how to access benefits;
    • information on how to leverage ARP benefits for individual family economic mobility goals; and
    • opportunities to ask questions.
