Race, Health, and Equity

Thursday, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Free – $50

Want to learn how providers, patients, and advocates can work together to create better health outcomes for people of color? Join Adagio Health on Thursday, October 14 for their online event, “Race, Health, and Equity.”

About

With a global pandemic that has amplified racial health disparities, and the declaration of racism as a public health crisis in cities across the country – including Pittsburgh – how can providers, patients, and advocates work together to effect real change, and better health outcomes, for people of color?

The Better Health Outcomes Speaker Series seeks to further engagement and advocacy around issues that have taken on new importance during the COVID-19 pandemic: Food Insecurity, Black Maternal Health, Behavioral Health, and Racial Health Disparities. This event will focus on Racial Health Disparities and will feature the following presenters:

    • Dr. Margaret Larkins-Pettigrew, Chief Clinical Diversity & Inclusion Officer for Allegheny Health Network
Dr. Larkins-Pettigrew is also a navy veteran and global health issues expert.
