Complex Trauma: Facts for Caregivers, NCTSN

Complex trauma describes children’s exposure to multiple traumatic events and the long-term impact of that exposure. These traumatic events usually begin in early life and might disrupt the child’s development and interfere with the child’s ability to form secure attachment bonds.
