Join the Early Childhood Technical Assistance Center (ECTA) on July 23 for “The ABCs of Anti-Racist Early Intervention” to learn how implicit bias, color-blind ideology, and culture-blind ideology act as barriers to addressing racial equity in early childhood.
This training will engage participants in discussions related to key social justice and equity issues impacting how professionals lead, serve, and interact within Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) programs. Implicit bias, color-blind, and culture-blind ideology will be discussed as barriers to addressing racial equity. Microaggressions will be examined and practical strategies for how to respond to microaggressions will be presented.
This event is a part of the five-part “In Pursuit of Equity in Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education” series. To watch video recordings of previous sessions, visit the ECTA website.
To register, complete the online registration form. Please note that certificates of attendance and CEUs will not be issued for attendees of this event. For more events, visit our Event Calendar.
