Creating Healthy Communities: Get The Lead Out

Thursday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Join Women for a Healthy Environment for a conference called “Creating Healthy Communities: Get the Lead Out”.

Exposure to lead impacts developing brains and nearly every system in the body. Pregnant women and children are most at risk. This conference will identify ways that communities can work together to address lead hazards in homes, schools and child care centers. They day-long event will feature national experts who will share success stories from other cities, and an afternoon community problem-solving session. CEUs and free childcare will be provided. Scholarships available.
