Learn More The foundation can provide financial assistance for families with children who have medical needs that are not covered – or not fully covered – by their commercial insurance plan. Qualifying families can receive help to pay for medical treatment, services, or equipment. Funds can be used toward surgeries, counseling, prescription medications, wheelchairs, orthotics, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The United Healthcare Children’s Foundation provides medical grants that give children the care they need by helping with medical expenses. The foundation has awarded 37,000 grants in the past 20 years and expects 50,000 are anticipated to have been granted by 2030.
