NAEYC Launches Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Survey

To ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all of its members, the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is requesting responses to its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Survey from current and former members.

About

Current and former NAEYC members who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic, Latinx or of Spanish Origin, Middle Eastern or North African, or Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander are invited to submit their responses to NAEYC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Survey. All responses will remain confidential and will only be reported in the aggregate. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

The findings of this survey, along with focus groups, with help NAEYC continue to strive to:

    • close the racial imbalance within their membership;
    • better align their operations to be relevant and indispensable;
    • eliminate barriers and business practices that exclude early childhood educators of color from serving in leadership positions; and
    • address the explicit and implicit bias in their decision making.
