Attendees at this workshop will learn how to design and make their own stim tools and sensory supports with reused materials at the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse.
Stim tools and sensory supports are objects or materials that stimulate or soothe the senses. They can be used to help people focus, regulate emotions, and develop sensory processing skills. The workshop is open to all ages, skill levels, abilities, and neurotypes.
The workshop is the first of the center’s Guest Teaching Artist series, where it will bring in a different local artist to host a workshop on the second Sunday of each month.
The free event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 12 at the Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse, located at 214 N. Lexington Street.
