Fred Rogers Center Educators’ Symposium

The Fred Rogers Center is hosting a two-day Educators’ Symposium from July 20 – 21 for educators focused on applying the wisdom of Fred Rogers to our practice and lives.

Fred Rogers Center Educators’ Symposium

During the symposium, educators will learn from the life and work of Fred Rogers and brainstorm ways to apply their learning into practice with children, families, and other educators. This two-day learning experience will be full of collaboration, stories, inspiration, and joy, and will include:

    • sessions on topics connecting Fred Rogers and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood to a variety of learning contexts, including a session from Fred Rogers Center Archivist Emily Uhrin and the Simple Interactions team;
    • a panel of educators who will share how Fred Rogers and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood impacts their practice with children, families, and educators;
    • an opening keynote by Hedda Sharapan, child development expert and former Associate Producer of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood; and
    • a closing keynote by Gregg Behr and Ryan Rydzewski, authors of “When You Wonder, You’re Learning: Mister Rogers’ Enduring Lessons for Raising Creative, Curious, Caring Kids.”

Registration

This event is open to all educators (formal and informal), educational leaders, care providers, and others who work with children, families, and educators. All registrants will receive access to session recordings and a certificate of attendance. Registration closes on July 19, 2021.
