This module offers a “train the facilitator toolkit” for early education program leaders to effectively discuss and educate both professional colleagues and families about the importance of advocacy and mobilization.
Module discussions and toolkit resources will outline the concepts of advocacy and how it relates to the field of wary care and education.
Participants will learn ways to discuss the basic elements of effective advocacy planning with staff and families and discover ways to use advocacy as a tool to influence decision-makers to invest in positive outcomes for young children, families, and the field, in general.
This professional development opportunity has been underwritten by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Child Development and Early Learning and funded by the Southwest Regional Key, a program of YWCA Greater Pittsburgh.
