Promoting Kindness in Afterschool Programs

Join the Temescal Associates, How Kids Learn Foundation, and EduCare Foundation for this interactive webinar. It will focus on strategies which promote kindness in afterschool programs, and feature a presentation by Stu Semigran.

Co-Founder and President of The EduCare Foundation, Semigran recently authored a book entitled, “Heartset Education: A Way of Living and Learning.” Following his presentation, registrants will have the opportunity to share their strategies and ask questions.

Professional and Family-Friendly Resources Available to Support Early Learning

Early learning materials are available at no cost to Pennsylvania early learning programs (including Early Intervention and evidence-based home visiting programs), kindergarten classrooms, afterschool programs, and other programs who reach families with young children.

These materials contain activities to do with a young child to help them learn. All of the activities align with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards.

Supplies are limited and requests will be fulfilled in order as received. Materials are for Pennsylvania programs and partners only. Learn more and submit a request.

Beyond the Bell: After-School Program in Homewood

Beyond the Bell is an after-school program focused on helping children learn how to be successful students. This program is twice per week at the SHRS Wellness Pavilion, a part of the W.E.L.L. (Wellness, Engagement, Living, and Learning) at the Community Engagement Center in Homewood.

Limited spots are available, and registration is required.
