About
Professionals who work with school-age children in out-of-school environments often struggle with ways to keep the children engaged in programs that run before and after the structured school day. Children have varied needs, and program staff are often dealing with challenges such as a restrictive environment, mixed groupings, and varied schedules.
Within the context of child development, this webinar offers a child-centered approach to developing activities that engage and enhance the program. Participants will explore a number of common challenges along with some possible solutions that can be adapted and applied in their work. Time for questions will be provided.

This course will serve as an introduction to creativity and children’s developmental stages with arts learning. Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:

- properly utilize the Project WET: Getting Little Feet WET educator guide as a curriculum reference;
- participate in four Project WET activities that can be utilized in an early childhood classroom; and

For just $1 per person (max $5 per family), families and children can enjoy a range of fun activities at this year’s Day of Play fall event.
About
Day of Play is a low-cost event that provides recreational activities that promote physical activity for families with young children (ages two to ten recommended). The event features:

- multiple bounce houses for all ages,
- games with a variety of activities for young children,
- a photo booth session with festive props,
- handprint activities,
- live demonstrations,
- and opportunities to view and touch trucks, police cars, fire trucks, and a school bus!
Ice Skating
Immediately following the Day of Play event, White Township Recreation will be running a special rate for their public ice skating! Saturday public skate will be from 2 to 4 p.m. $3 public skate admission for all ages (skate rental included).
