A+ Schools and Pittsburgh Learning Collaborative Summer Opportunities Fair

A+ Schools and the Pittsburgh Learning Collaborative will host a free Summer Opportunities Fair on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Families that attend can enjoy free lunch, music, and games while meeting vendors and summer program providers who will help families register for available slots. Opportunities for attendees include:

  • Registering for available summer programming.
  • Applying on-site for summer, part-time, or full-time opportunities for teens and adults.
  • Getting a head start on acquiring needed clearances for jobs.

When: Saturday, April 1st 11am – 3pm

Where: Manchester Academic Charter School (MACS), 1214 Liverpool St, Pittsburgh, PA 15233

There will also be raffle baskets and other fun activities. Parking is free.

Child Care Hiring Days for PA

With the majority of child care programs experiencing staffing shortages, Trying Together is taking action to connect job seekers to hiring early learning programs throughout Pennsylvania. Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs can participate in Child Care Hiring Days for PA on March 29, 30 and 31, 2022 at no cost.

About Child Care Hiring Days for PA

During this three-day event, ECE programs will host walk-in hiring events, featuring on-the-spot interviews at their locations. Programs will display yellow balloons, ribbons, or stars in front of their facility to signify that they are participating in Child Care Hiring Days of PA. The event aims to simplify the job search and hiring process for potential applicants and promote the rewards of working in early childhood education.

For Employers

Interested providers should:

  1. Register their program for this event

    • Programs with multiple site locations will need to complete one registration form for each site

  2. Create or update their ECEhire.com profile

  3. Post all job openings on ECEhire.com using the free promo code: CCHD

Registered programs will have access to the Hiring Days Toolkit, which offers resources for planning walk-in interview events and reaching potential job seekers.

Assistant Group Supervisor

Providence Connections is looking to hire an Assistant Group Supervisor. This professional will:

    • assist in the preparation and implementation of developmentally appropriate program activities for a group of children, adhering to the principles of child development,
    • assist in maintaining and ensuring all daily, monthly, and yearly classroom job duties and routines are completed and meeting compliance of the DHS and STARS programs,

Business Manager for Education Services

Heritage Community Initiatives is seeking a Business Manager for Education Services. The Business Manager for Education Services is responsible for the business functions of both education programs. The manager ensures parent billings, account receivables, and collections are completed weekly, accurately, and on time.
