Participants in this day camp for elementary children will learn scientific facts and concepts that they can take home and use in their own backyards.

Children will learn through play, crafts, literature, fun facts, and farm tours, and bring home a family discussion sheet for at-home fun and learning.

The camp is intended for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. It costs $75 per camper.

The first session will run from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 17. Topics will include dirt and soil, Pennsylvania wildlife, animal evidence, recycling, and simple machines.

It will be held at the Apple Castle Pavilion, located at 277 State Route 18 in New Wilmington. Children will be outside for the duration of camp, with shaded and covered areas.
