About Coined the She-cession, the economic fallout of Covid-19 has disproportionately affected women in key ways. Women are one-third more likely to work in a sector that was shut down during the lockdown, more likely to be furloughed, and 47 percent more likely to have lost or quit their jobs. And, women shoulder more child care responsibilities and household work than men.
