The free virtual conversation series explores unique visions, wisdom, and resources that are indispensable to addressing challenges children, families, and communities face. By listening to the stories of changemakers in communities, the webinar aims to broaden and deepen understanding of under-recognized approaches to challenges.

Each session will last 90 minutes, which includes an hour-long discussion and a 30-minute Q&A session. The four-part series will be held at 3 p.m. on the following Tuesdays:

  • Sept. 10
  • Oct. 15
  • Nov. 12
  • Dec. 10

Brazelton Touchpoints Center: The How of Child and Family Engagement

Brazelton Touchpoints Center will host an upcoming program that focuses on building strong family-child relationships from birth through age 5.

The How of Child and Family Engagement is an intensive training program that introduces the Touchpoints Approach, which is an evidence-based approach to building strong family-child relationships. Participants who implement Touchpoints in their practice will partner with families to lay the vital foundation for children’s early learning and healthy development.

The course consists of 28 training hours, including six monthly one-hour virtual reflective practice sessions. Attendance is required at all live sessions, each of which is four hours long. Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate of attendance. The course is approved for 20.35 continuing education credits for physicians, nurses, social workers, and psychologists.

Participants will learn:

  • Strategies for building partnerships with parents that promote family strengths
  • A framework to understand why children’s behavior can sometimes be challenging and confusing
  • Techniques for talking with families about child development concerns
  • How to actively listen to families and collaboratively solve problems related to child development or a child-family relationship

Brazelton Touchpoints Center: Navigating Challenging Conversations Workshop Series

Brazelton Touchpoints Center will host a workshop series on how culture and bias may affect when and how we experience conversations as challenging.

Navigating Challenging Conversations is a three-part workshop series that will discuss how perspectives and roles may influence one’s understanding of those of the children, families, and colleagues with whom one works.

Each session will equip participants with actionable insights and tools that can be applied toward work. Whether one is a family-facing provider, researcher, advocate, policymaker, or educator, the series will empower participants to navigate sensitive topics with confidence.

The workshop costs $105 per seat. Sessions will take place on the following Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET:
