Northside Job Fair

NorthSideWorks! and PA Career Link are hosting the Northside Job Fair on April 26. More than 50 employers, service organizations, and training providers will attend the event.

Attendees will be able to learn about full- and part-time opportunities in various industries. Registration for attendees is free.

Employers attending the event include Acrisure Stadium, Aflac, Allegheny County Health Department, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, the city of Pittsburgh, DollarBank, National Aviary, PA Women Work, Peoples Gas, Pittsburgh Pirates, PNC Bank, Rivers Casino Pittsburgh, Trying Together, and many others.

The job fair runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 26 at PNC Park, located at 115 Federal Street.

Free parking is available at Red Lot 5A, located at 664 W. Robinson Street.

Bible Center & Oasis Project Job Fair

Join this Project Job Fair on Friday, August 4, from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Everyday Cafe (522 N. Homewood Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15208) to find your next opportunity with Bible Center Church and The Oasis Project.

On-site interviews will be conducted. Resumes and applications are being received for several positions open across the program areas of The Oasis Project.

Positions available include:

  • Baristas (Everyday Cafe)
  • Teachers/Assistant Teachers (The Maker’s Clubhouse Early Learning Center – opening in the fall season)
  • Farm Educators (The Maker’s Clubhouse and Oasis Farm & Fishery)
  • Part-time CDL Drivers (Oasis Transportation)

Summer EmployHER Pittsburgh Program Kick Off & Opportunity Fair

Join EmployHER Pittsburgh for their Summer Program Kick & Opportunity Fair to explore a variety of hiring opportunities and career resources from local Pittsburgh companies, organizations, and agencies.

When: Monday, 7/31 | 12 – 6 p.m. (Last participant arrival at 5 p.m.)

Where: Commonwealth Charter Academy, 162 E Bridge Street, Unit 100, Homestead, Pa. 15120

Register

Attendees will get the opportunity to meet hiring employers, receive resume reviews, get professional head shots, enroll in education and training programs, receive food, housing, and child care support, and participate in self-care experiences.

Following this even fair, attendees will have six months of support with finding a job, networking, and education.

Light refreshments, snacks, and lunch will be available, and onsite child care will be provided at no cost. Global Wordsmiths Translation Services (Spanish and Arabic) will be on site. Free parking is available in the parking lot under the bridge.

EmployHER Pittsburgh is a collaborative initiative between Dress for Success Pittsburgh, New Century Careers, and When She Thrives aimed at providing access to better employment, personal development, and educational opportunities for women in Allegheny County.

AIU Career Fair

Join the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) as the organization hosts a Career Fair on Saturday, May 13 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

A variety of positions are available throughout the organization, including roles in English as a second language (ESL), special education, Head Start, Early Head Start, family and community engagement, occupational/physical therapy, virtual learning facilitators, and technology services programs. Attendees will be able to meet and network directly with AIU team members.

All attendees are guaranteed an interview. Registration required. This event is in-person.

A+ Schools and Pittsburgh Learning Collaborative Summer Opportunities Fair

A+ Schools and the Pittsburgh Learning Collaborative will host a free Summer Opportunities Fair on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Families that attend can enjoy free lunch, music, and games while meeting vendors and summer program providers who will help families register for available slots. Opportunities for attendees include:

  • Registering for available summer programming.
  • Applying on-site for summer, part-time, or full-time opportunities for teens and adults.
  • Getting a head start on acquiring needed clearances for jobs.

When: Saturday, April 1st 11am – 3pm

Where: Manchester Academic Charter School (MACS), 1214 Liverpool St, Pittsburgh, PA 15233

There will also be raffle baskets and other fun activities. Parking is free.

About

The Homewood Child Care Alliance (HCCA) includes individual child care programs (family, group, and center). Many of the programs, located in Homewood and its surrounding areas, are seeking applicants for early care and education positions that work Monday through Friday in various shifts between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Interviews are open on Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday, August 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Schedule your interview by registering today! All registrations must be submitted by August 5 at 9 a.m.
