How are you feeling today? Join the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh in the Nursery as they bring social and emotional learning and digital media literacy to life! Create your own emoji on our iPad or make one to take home with you.

Music Makers: Nature Sounds

Join the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh in the Nursery for an hour of hands-on musical exploration. Experience the beautiful sounds of the natural world such as rain, birdsong, wind and running water and invent your own instruments using a variety of natural materials. Discover how music is everywhere if we just take the time to listen!

Young Sprouts: Arbor Day Tree Celebration

What better way to show love to our Earth than to celebrate Arbor Day!  Join the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh in “giving to trees” by decorating them with your creative expression. Drape, tie, and wrap trees to show the trees your love. You can even take a few moments to reflect by reading The Wish Tree by Kyo Maclear!

Wellness Wednesday: Dance & Movement with Fine Art Miracles

Join the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh for a high-energy dance and movement workshop with their guest Maria Gismondi from Fine Art Miracles, Inc.! Explore rhythm and space, experiment with props, and have fun expressing yourself with movement! Maria will focus on gross motor skills, creative movement, and physical play. No experience required!

Young Sprouts: Compost Stew

What is compost and how do you make it? Learn about how you can take your old food scraps and turn them into nutritious soil to help the garden grow with the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh! The group will also read Compost Stew by Mary McKenna Siddals.

This program is designed for our youngest learners (0-5) but is suitable for all ages. The event is drop-in, so guests may come and go as they please! Program location is weather dependent: the group will be in the Garden if the weather allows; find them in the Nursery if weather is less than ideal.
