Join Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh on October 26, 2021, for a virtual professional development event, “Using Digital Media Resources with Early Learners.” Individuals may register online.

With intentional use and guidance, technology can improve cognitive, social and literacy outcomes for children. This presentation will share current research and suggestions for best practices from childhood experts while sharing suggested activities and apps designed best for joint media engagement.

Sensory Strategies for Early Learners

Join the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh to learn about the most common developmental delays in children, aged birth through five years.

This session will share strategies for supporting children with developmental delays. Presenters will identify activities, strategies, and Library resources that can generate positive sensory experiences for all young children. This virtual workshop will be hosted on Zoom. Attendees will receive 2 hours of PQAS credit.

Fishing for a Positive Work Environment

Are you interested in learning how to create a positive work environment? Join Trying Together on Wednesday, December 16 for our online course, “FISH philosophy: Fishing for a positive work environment!

About

During this course, Leadership Development Strategist Allison Robinson will discuss the four principles of the FISH philosophy and assist participants in considering how each principle can become daily practice. These four concepts will help participants create and maintain a working environment that is energizing, fun, and that allows each member of the team to feel important.

Custom professional development can be created to target individual/group goals, interests, and needs. In-person and virtual opportunities are available.
